       The volume of financing for Tatarstan's agrarians has increased by a third since the beginning of the year: 9.3 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the sowing campaign in the region.

       In the first five months of 2026, Rosselkhozbank significantly increased the volume of credit support for the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan, bringing the total amount of financing to 10.5 billion rubles, reports RBC. As reported on Wednesday at the international agro-industrial exhibition "Agrovolga" by the director of the Tatarstan regional branch of the credit organization, Laila Kudermeetova, this exceeds the figure for the same period in 2025 by a third. The lion's share of the allocated funds was directed towards seasonal field work: agrarians of the republic received loans totaling 9.3 billion rubles, which is 47 percent more than last year's level. At the same time, the total volume of preferential lending increased by 21 percent, amounting to 8.9 billion rubles. For crop production, agricultural producers took 6.5 billion rubles in short-term loans, while the remaining funds were directed towards the development of dairy and meat cattle breeding. The volume of investment loans as of June 1 exceeded 1.1 billion rubles. With the involvement of bank financing, the second terminal of the elevator complex in the Bugulminsky district has already been launched in the republic. As previously stated by the Minister of Agriculture Marat Zyabbarov, the total costs for the sowing campaign in the region will amount to 43 billion rubles. It was previously reported that the Republic of Tatarstan, as of June 1, 2026, remains the absolute leader among the regions of the Volga Federal District in terms of the debt of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to the banking sector.
