      Tatarstan has increased dairy product exports

      Tatarstan enterprises have increased the volume of dairy product exports by 7.4 million dollars. The largest growth was demonstrated by whey, while the smallest was by butter. The Republic of Tatarstan, based on the results of the first half of 2026, shows a mixed dynamics in dairy product exports, significantly increasing supplies for some items and almost completely reducing them for others. As reported by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Gelyus Bayazitov, at the international agro-industrial exhibition "Agrovolga," since the beginning of the year, the region has exported dairy products worth about 7.4 million dollars, which is 10.6 percent higher than the figures for the same period in 2025, when 6.7 million was earned. According to the announced data, the largest growth in relative terms was shown by whey supplies, which soared by 1.8 times, while ice cream exports in monetary terms increased by 31.9 percent, reaching 2.3 million dollars. At the same time, butter exports experienced a real collapse, plummeting by 93.4 percent. Bayazitov noted that exports abroad are necessary to reduce stocks and expressed hope for further export growth. It should be noted that traditionally, enterprises specializing in the production of oil and fat products serve as the basis for agro-exports in the republic. Recently, it was reported that based on the results of the first five months of the current year, Rosselkhozbank significantly increased the volume of credit support provided to enterprises in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. The corresponding indicator of the total amount of financing has been raised to 10.5 billion rubles.
