      The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov, arrived in Kazan on a working visit. He was met at Kazan International Airport named after Gabdulla Tukay by the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Akhmetov. As part of the working trip, Igor Komarov will participate in the event dedicated to the consecration of the restored church in honor of the Tula image of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker at the Kazan Mother of God Men's Monastery. Let us remind you that tomorrow His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will perform the great consecration of the church and lead the Divine Liturgy. The Church of Nicholas of Tula was the first to receive the miraculous Kazan Icon of the Mother of God after its discovery in 1579. Restoration work in the church in honor of the Tula image of Saint Nicholas, as well as all work on the restoration of historical buildings of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery, was carried out with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
