The State Council approved new support measures for veterans, families, mothers-heroes, and organizations in Tatarstan.

      Today, the State Council of Tatarstan adopted a number of bills aimed at supporting residents and enterprises of the republic during its session. For large families where the eldest child is disabled, all benefits are extended until the child turns 23, regardless of whether they are studying full-time or not. Until now, the republic had a mandatory condition that benefits for large families were valid until the eldest child reached 18 years of age or 23 years if they were receiving full-time education. However, due to health conditions, disabled children who reach 18 often cannot study and remain under the care of their parents, explained the amendment by the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of Tatarstan, Elmira Zaripova. This condition has now been removed from the law. In Tatarstan, large families are entitled to free medication for children aged three to six, a 30% subsidy for housing and utility payments, and for those living in houses without central heating, assistance with fuel costs. They are also entitled to a monthly subsidy for one parent for the transportation of students. Thanks to today's decisions, heroic mothers will receive free land plots—eight hundred square meters in cities and 25 hundred square meters in rural areas. This right has been granted to women who have raised ten or more children and have been awarded the title of "Heroic Mother." A number of citizens will receive benefits for the purchase of forest plantings for personal needs, specifically for the construction or renovation of residential houses and outbuildings on plots designated for individual housing construction or personal subsidiary farming. The benefit has been introduced for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants of special military operations, and widows of soldiers, large families, as well as citizens who have lost their homes due to fires and emergencies. Additionally, today the deputies exempted gardening, horticultural non-profit partnerships, and non-profit organizations from property tax until January 1, 2028, regarding common-use property. The property tax exemption has been provided for healthcare, physical culture, and sports facilities, excluding budgetary organizations. Until January 1, 2028, they will only pay 4.55% of the calculated tax amount. A similar exemption will be in effect until January 1, 2032, for gas distribution network facilities to expedite the gasification program of settlements.
