The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the general director of "Russian Post," Mikhail Volkov, signed an addendum to the cooperation agreement, which provides for further modernization of the rural postal network in the republic. The document was signed at a meeting in the Government House of Tatarstan. As part of the agreement, "Russian Post" will renovate existing or establish new modular post offices in at least 115 rural settlements. Additionally, work will be financed in at least 100 villages from the Tatarstan budget. All activities will be included in the targeted program for the modernization of rural post offices, which has been implemented since 2022 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Over the past four years, 88 rural post offices have already been updated in the republic. In 2024, "Russian Post" modernized 15 facilities, and another 15 post offices were renovated with funds from the republican budget. After the updates, post offices provide not only traditional services. Residents can verify their account on the "Gosuslugi" portal and also use "health corners," where they can independently measure their blood pressure, body temperature, and blood oxygen level. Currently, there are 1,112 stationary "Russian Post" offices operating in Tatarstan, of which 830 are located in rural areas.
