Minnikhanov noted the strategic importance of the project for Tatarstan. According to him, its implementation will strengthen the tourist potential of the republic, create new jobs, and stimulate the development of related sectors of the economy. "Kazan Marina" will become the first center built in the region in the last 30 years with a full-cycle marina designed for 300 yachts. On an area of 43.1 hectares, nine investment lots with hotel facilities totaling 1,250 rooms in the 3-4 star categories are planned. The total area of the tourist area will be 72.9 hectares. The implementation of the project will create about 1,900 new jobs. After the facilities are put into operation, "Kazan Marina" will be able to accommodate up to 620,000 tourists per year and will become a new attraction for residents and guests of the region.
