Transneft - Prikamye JSC has conducted activities for the artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources in four regions. The company's specialists, together with representatives of supervisory authorities, released over 235,000 fry of valuable fish species into the waters of the Kuibyshev, Saratov, Votkinsk, and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs, as well as into the Vyatka River. Compensation measures were carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Udmurt Republic, and the Samara and Kirov regions. The waters were replenished with fry of sturgeon – a valuable freshwater fish of the sturgeon family. The young fish were bred at the request of the enterprise. Specialists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Freshwater Fishery determined the quantity and release locations, taking into account factors that ensure high survival rates. Before being released into the aquatic environment, representatives of the authority confirmed the satisfactory condition of the fry.
The industrial release of fry contributes to the restoration of valuable fish populations in the waters of the regions where Transneft - Prikamye JSC operates. In 2026, over 500,000 fry will be released. Since 2020, reservoirs and rivers have been replenished with over 5.7 million fry of valuable commercial fish species at the initiative of the company. The enterprise pays great attention to environmental protection, compliance with environmental legislation, and adherence to high standards of ecological safety. Environmental compensation measures for the artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources are conducted annually as part of the corporate program for biodiversity conservation in areas where PAO Transneft facilities are present.
