       A large-scale harvesting campaign has begun in Tatarstan. The first groups of agrarians have already gone out to the fields to harvest winter wheat, rapeseed, and early potatoes.

       In the Republic of Tatarstan, on Tuesday, July 21, the large-scale harvesting campaign was officially launched, covering several key agricultural districts of the region. According to a statement from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the agrarians of the Aksubaevsky, Buinsky, Zainsky, Spassky, Rybno-Slobodsky, and Muslyumovsky districts were the first to start harvesting winter wheat. At the same time, the harvesting of winter rapeseed began in the Rybno-Slobodsky and Aksubaevsky districts, while early potato harvesting started in the Chistopolsky district. This year, agricultural enterprises in the republic are set to conduct harvesting operations over a significant area: grain and leguminous crops occupy one million one hundred sixty-eight thousand hectares, of which seven hundred thirty thousand hectares are allocated for spring crops. The area for sugar beet cultivation is fifty-three thousand hectares, oilseeds – six hundred sixty-nine thousand hectares, and potatoes and vegetables – six thousand eight hundred twenty-three hectares. The ministry previously noted that from July 22 to 29, a series of zonal seminars and meetings on the preparation for the harvesting campaign are planned in the districts of the republic. It was reported earlier that in the Republic of Tatarstan, in 2026, the practical application of unmanned aerial systems for the chemical protection of agricultural crops began, and the first production tests showed quite good economic results.
