From August 1 to 7, the All-Russian anniversary scout camp "Jamboree-2026" will take place in Bolgar, Spassky District. More than 1,000 people from various regions of Russia will participate in the event. The main theme of the camp will be the revival and popularization of folk crafts. As part of the program, a "Children's Craft Village" will open, where participants can get acquainted with traditional crafts and create their own products under the guidance of masters of decorative and applied arts. The camp program also includes educational, sports, and entertainment activities. Thematic areas such as "Children of Shipbuilders," "Games of the Great Country," "Clean Volga," as well as a sailing regatta, intellectual games, and "Hero's Race" have been prepared for participants. Workshops for making products from clay, leather, paper, textiles, and natural materials will operate on the campgrounds. Participants will be able to create souvenirs, talismans, toys, and other items reflecting the cultural traditions of different regions of Russia.
The organizers note that the project aims to preserve folk heritage, develop the creative abilities of youth, and foster interest in the culture of the country. Partners of "Jamboree-2026" include the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the "Knowledge" Society, the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, and other organizations.
