In Kazan, OSVOD rescuers helped a drunken man who nearly drowned in a lake in Victory Park. The man was relaxing with a friend when they entered the water while intoxicated. Noticing the drunken men, the rescuers rushed to them. At one point, one of the friends choked and lost consciousness. "The rescuers pulled him to the shore and provided first aid – they drained water from his airways, after which the victim regained consciousness. The victim, born in 1981, was handed over to ambulance staff, while his companion was taken to the district police officer," the message from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Tatarstan states.
