The Kuzmin family from Zainsk celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and raised a dynasty of energy workers.
Fifty years ago, they tied their fates, dedicated their lives to working at the Zainsk GRES, raised two children, and today gather around the table with five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. For some, 50 years of married life is just a date in a passport; for Galina and Ivan Kuzmin, it is an entire era filled with events, victories, and, most importantly, the warmth they have carried through the decades. On July 17, 1976, they registered their marriage, and for half a century, they have lived in love and harmony. Half a century has passed, but the main achievement of this couple is not the years lived but the foundation they have built for their children and grandchildren.
Fate, inscribed in the work record book. Surprisingly, Galina and Ivan found their soulmate not on the dance floor but at their workplace. Both hail from the neighboring Sarmanovsky district: she from a large family in Petrovka (where six children grew up), and he from the village of Druzhba (where there were seven). They absorbed the secrets of a harmonious life with their mother's milk. Their acquaintance began when Galina worked as a secretary in the village council, and Ivan was a driver at the state farm. Their sympathy grew into a deep feeling, and the young couple got married. In the very first years, they built a house with their own hands so that Ivan's mother could live in warmth and comfort.
However, the desire to grow and work in a large production facility led the young family to Zainsk, to the GRES. It was here that their common professional path began.
The energy of the family is in their blood. Ivan Pimenovich dedicated 41 years to the enterprise, starting as a driver in the auto farm. Galina Veniaminovna worked for 33 years, rising from a leading accountant to the deputy chief accountant. Their work has been recognized with numerous letters of gratitude, and both spouses have been awarded the honorary title of "Elder Energy Worker of Tatarstan." Together they worked at the same enterprise, built a house, and raised their children together.
"We loved the GRES like our own home. When your work is respected, it is a pleasure to work," shares Galina Veniaminovna. "We were not born in Zainsk, but this city has become our home. And how happy we are that our children decided to stay here."
The Kuzmins have become the founders of a true dynasty. Their son Sergey and daughter Elena, along with their spouses, have tied their lives to the energy sector. Sergey is the shift supervisor of the fuel shop, and his wife Elena is the leading engineer in the maintenance department. Daughter Elena is a leading engineer, and her husband Eduard is a senior electrician. Having raised two children, the Kuzmins proudly watch as they continue their legacy.
"Grandparents" from the grandchildren's orbit. The main wealth of the Kuzmins is the continuation of their lineage. They have five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. The eldest grandson Kirill followed in the family's footsteps – he is an engineer. Twins Danil and Dmitry chose the challenging path of military sailors. Granddaughter Elina is currently studying at Kazan State Energy University to continue the family traditions, while the youngest, Azaliya, has completed the eighth grade at school No. 4.
"Our parents taught us the most important thing: to be kind, responsive, and not to be afraid of work. We pass these lessons on to our children. May our friendly and wonderful family be happy. A huge thank you for this to our parents," says daughter Elena Tapaykina.
The warmth of the soul for good deeds. Even after retiring, Galina Veniaminovna keeps busy. She is an active participant in the volunteer movement "Zainsk with You." For three years, she has been among the volunteers who weave camouflage nets for the soldiers of the special military operation. This is yet another facet of her generous and open soul, a desire to respond to good with good.
Those who know the Kuzmins note that they remarkably complement each other. The main values of this family are mutual respect and understanding, readiness to help, the ability to appreciate what they have, and to be grateful for each day lived. The breadth of the soul, generosity, and hospitality are what distinguish this home. On weekends, the cheerful laughter of children can always be heard here, and a delicious pie on the table awaits anyone who steps over the threshold of the house.
