In Kazan, 36 tons of recyclables were collected in July.
In the capital of Tatarstan, over 3,600 people visited the recycling points "Collection Point" in July, handing over 36 tons of various waste for recycling. This was reported by the press service of the Kazan city administration, citing information from the regional operator in the western zone of the republic – UK "PZhKH". At the point on Vasilychenko Street, 6, 11.5 tons of recyclables were brought in over the month, while at the point on Rodina Street, 45, 24.5 tons were collected. The recycling points operate every day from 7 AM to 7 PM. Detailed information about what the "Collection Points" accept and how to prepare recyclables for submission can be found on the regional operator's channel. By the end of the year, UK "PZhKH" is expected to open a third "Collection Point" in the Novo-Savinovsky district of the city. The points accept more than 35 fractions of recyclables, including plastic, metal, glass, paper, Tetra Pak, foam, soft packaging (pouches), electronics, clothing, furniture, car tires, as well as small fractions – medicine blisters and plastic cards. Additionally, newspapers, magazines, and other paper can be submitted for recycling, except for receipts. At the same time, hazardous waste – mercury lamps, batteries, and thermometers – are not accepted, the city administration reminded.
Separate collection of recyclables aligns with the goals of the national project "Ecological Well-Being." National projects are large-scale state programs aimed at developing key areas of public life. They are one of the main tools for achieving the national goals approved by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and implementing the strategy for the socio-economic development of the country until 2030.
