"Spartak" officially confirmed the transfer of forward Mirlind Daku from "Rubin". In the new club, the player will wear the number 19 jersey. The red-and-whites introduced the newcomer with a welcome video showcasing Daku's goals while at "Rubin". The transfer fee amounted to 11 million euros. The duration of the contract is not disclosed. According to sources, the forward's salary at "Spartak" will be 3.5 million euros per year, and the agreement is set for three years. Daku has been with "Rubin" since 2023. Previously, he played for the Kosovo clubs "Hajvalia", "Lapi", and "Balkani", the Albanian "Kukësi", the Croatian "Osijek", and the Slovenian "Mura". The most productive season of the forward's career was 2020/21, when he scored 31 goals and became the top scorer of the Kosovo championship.
In three seasons at "Rubin", Daku scored 37 times and entered the top three scorers in the club's history in the RPL. The Kazan club bid farewell to the player on their social media: "Football club 'Rubin' thanks Daku for his contribution to the team's successes and wishes him good luck in his future career. Thank you for everything, Mirlind!" the message reads. On Friday, Mirlind will hold his first training session with the new team. On Sunday, at 20:00, "Spartak" will face "Krasnodar" in the third round match of the Russian championship.
