In Tatarstan, the first batch of the new wheat harvest has been studied.
The grain with a volume of 94 tons has been recognized as corresponding to the third class with high protein levels. Laboratory tests were conducted on key indicators: weight, mass fraction of protein, moisture, quantity and quality of gluten, presence of impurities, and pest infestation. The branch director, Tatyana Menlikieva, noted that the mass fraction of protein on a dry matter basis was 16.2 percent, with a norm for the third class of at least 12 percent. It is planned that no less than 2.2 million tons of the total grain harvest will consist of wheat, and the entire gross yield of this crop will be examined at the branch. As part of state monitoring, specialists go daily to municipal districts to storage sites and grain batch formation points for sampling. Before the end of the harvesting campaign, it is planned to collect 4,500 samples of wheat and conduct 86,500 laboratory studies. These activities strengthen the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and implement the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
