V All-Russian Student Cyber Battle: applications are accepted until August 24

      The company Innostage has announced the start of applications for the V All-Russian Student Cyber Battle (VSKB). Currently, 50 teams have already registered for the fifth season, comprising 271 students from 29 universities located in 19 cities and 17 regions of Russia. The project gives IT students a chance to hone their skills in cybersecurity through real cases and directly communicate with future employers. VSKB combines an educational program with competitive practice: participants work with the Innostage cyberattack simulator, reflecting scenarios close to combat conditions for protecting digital infrastructure. Teams try themselves in two roles: searching for system vulnerabilities (attackers) and learning to repel intrusions (defenders). After registration and the qualifying stage, students gain access to training materials and the training ground, and then proceed to the main round regardless of their initial level of preparation. The key goal of the battle is not only to identify the strongest but also to help young specialists build a portfolio, establish useful contacts in the industry, and secure a place in the talent pool of companies. Interest in the event is steadily growing: this year, students from Buryatia, Karelia, and other new regions joined for the first time. Registration is open until August 24 for students in IT and related specialties. The final matches will take place from October 29 to 31 as part of Kazan Digital Week 2026.
