The Day of the Physical Culture Worker was solemnly opened in Kazan.

In the extreme park "URAM," the opening ceremony of the Kazan Sports Day took place as part of the Physical Culture Day. The event began with a welcoming speech from the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Sadriyev. Sadriyev emphasized the significance of the holiday for all involved: "Our athletes, coaches, physical culture and sports workers, our federations, public organizations, and of course, our veterans. Allow me, on behalf of the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vladimir Leonov, to congratulate us all on this professional holiday. We prove that we are the sports capital of our large friendly country," quotes Sadriyev by the correspondent of "TI-Sport."

On stage, there was a ceremony for awarding departmental prizes and honoring the winners of the skateboarding competitions. Sadriyev also announced the upcoming opening of major sports facilities: the "Rubin" football center, the "Luka" center, and the Alina Zagitova figure skating center, thanking the leadership of the republic headed by Rustam Minnikhanov for their support.

Events are taking place at 30 venues with sports programs across 25 disciplines. This also included the final of the Kazan Cup in football at the "Labor Reserves" stadium, a sailing regatta on the Kazanka River, beach football and volleyball tournaments, as well as other competitions and master classes.

Special attention at the ceremony was given to the participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO), who are competing in backgammon. Concluding his speech, the Deputy Minister called on everyone to engage in physical culture and involve children and the population in sports. The celebration continued with a musical program and competitions at the park's venues.
