"Mrs. Tatarstan - 2026": a beauty, strength, and unity contest took place in Kazan

      The VII Republican Beauty and Success Contest "Mrs. Tatarstan - 2026" took place in the capital of Tatarstan. Eighteen women from different corners of the region competed for the main title. The main characters of the contest were mothers of special children, women who have experienced personal tragedies and found the strength to realize their ambitions and help others. The final program included four stages: a fashion show, a video introduction, a talent contest, and a blitz survey. Before going on stage, the participants underwent serious preparation, which included defending social projects, presenting dishes, and self-presentation, during which each shared their story. The contestants prepared for the final for a week, with rehearsals taking place from morning till night. Behind the scenes, the participants were just as nervous as they were on stage. "She came more for the experience, for the first time in such a theme. Here she found new friends," noted a spectator named Leila, the daughter of one of the participants. "I only helped by watching her children so she could be freer," said the mother of another participant, Violetta Rasokhina. Among the participants were women with different fates. They showed that life's difficulties should not become an obstacle to self-development and achieving goals. Some have endured serious illnesses and the loss of loved ones, gone through trauma, but despite this, they managed to overcome themselves and go on stage. "I also want to participate. First – 'Miss Naberezhnye Chelny', and then here. Mom got the crown, and I will continue this tradition. This contest inspires every woman to feel beautiful and needed," said Leila, looking at her mother on stage. For the first time in the history of the contest, two "special moms" participated in the final – women raising children with cerebral palsy. "This is the second season in seven years that special moms are participating. I am a special mom myself – my daughter is 17 years old, my daughter has cerebral palsy. Hence my activity," emphasized jury member Gulnara Firazieva, the first "Mrs. Tatarstan - 2020" and holder of the title "Woman of the Year." The jury also included public figure Ksenia Drobnjak, designer "Miss Tatarstan" Sultan Saliev, general director of the MED restaurant Ruslan Valiev, television presenter Dinara Burgaf, and founder of the contest Izolda Sakharova. "This year, the lineup is very strong; it was really difficult to choose the winners. We had debates, discussing each one," admitted Gulnara Firazieva. According to the jury members, the contest gives women more than just a title: "It transforms the perception of oneself, of one's possibilities. It turns out you can do a lot. It provides growth points where a woman can direct her energy. It reveals weak sides – how you react to criticism. Not everyone can withstand this. Successful, beautiful, with achievements, and here she is criticized. This definitely changes the world inside you," explained one of them. The title "Mrs. Tatarstan - 2026" was awarded to Maria Chegodaeva (number 5). The main nominations were distributed as follows: "Mrs. Charm" – Diana Kulik (number 7), "Mrs. Photo" – Arina Minnikhanova (number 1), "3rd Vice-Mrs." – Elena Khuzina (number 7), "2nd Vice-Mrs." – Tatyana Bezrukova (number 10), "1st Vice-Mrs." – Maria Ryabova (number 3), "Mrs. Kazan" – Alina Suleimanova (number 15). Arina Minnikhanova, who won the "Mrs. Photo" nomination, admitted that participating in the contest changed her: "I became more stress-resistant. There were different situations, and you learn to hold yourself with dignity in any situation. I became more confident in myself; I look at difficult things with ease." She added that winning was not her main goal. "I had a goal – to tell my story, to show the way, to show that despite difficulties, I enjoy life, setting an example for women. And to present a social project – it is my dream. It's one thing if I come as just Arina Minnikhanova, and another if I am titled," she explained. "The girls who received the main crowns, I am very happy for them. If they received them – it means they are more deserving. But all are queens. Because the crown is not the main thing in life," emphasized Arina. "I think that every woman should feel beautiful, needed, show her talents, her skills. That is what inspires this contest," concluded the event from her perspective, the mother of one of the contestants. "Mrs. Tatarstan" has been held since 2020 and serves as the regional stage of all-Russian and international contests. The organizer is the public organization "Mrs. Tatarstan" under the leadership of the honored figure of arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, Izolda Sakharova.
