In the Buinsky district, two people died in a fire, and three sustained severe burns.

      The fire in the village of Novye Chechkaby ended tragically.

      Respected villagers Gulshat and Muslim Bikmullins died in the fire. Their son Ildar, daughter-in-law Gulchachak, and 16-year-old grandson Ilnaz are in critical condition, with 90-100 percent of their bodies burned.

      According to the head of the 111th fire and rescue unit, Niyaz Sadikov, the report of the incident was received by the "Glonass-112" system on August 11 at 23:28.

      By the time firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flames. While rescuers were on their way, villagers organized an impromptu firefighting effort: they connected hoses to a hydrant, used two tractors, and a motor pump. Thanks to their solidarity, the fire did not spread to neighboring buildings. Residents recount that the smoke was noticed by teenagers aged 15-16 gathered at one of the gates. They showed true heroism: they ran to the scene, broke down the door, and helped Ilnaz, Gulchachak, and Ildar escape. They also pushed a car out of the yard and released livestock towards the garden. Running from house to house, they knocked on gates and called for help. At that time, I was sitting by the window on the computer. I heard noise and looked outside. Around the car parked in front of the house, two people were running, and the fire was blazing brightly. At first, I thought it was children running with phones. But it turned out to be Gulchachak and Ildar, whose clothes were on fire. Hearing cries of "Neighbors, neighbors!", I became alarmed. I woke my husband Nail. We went outside, and it was pure hell. I immediately called the head of the rural settlement, Dina Abdrakhmanova, and told her that the hydrant was right at my neighbors' gate. Dina was already on her way. People showed solidarity, and firefighters and other services also arrived quickly. We are glad that the fire did not spread to other houses, but our hearts break from such a bitter loss. They were very good people. We lived very harmoniously. They always invited us when they boiled the samovar in their beautiful garden or grilled kebabs. Every summer, they treated us to honey that Muslim-aby and Gulshat-apa collected together, says neighbor Guzaliya Khusnieva. She was joined in tears by her husband’s sister, Alfinur Abdrakhmanova, who lives on another street in the village.

      — Muslim was my childhood neighbor. Even though he was four years older than me, we grew up playing together. We were incredibly close, and that friendship has lasted to this day. When I come to my hometown, I always visit them. Gulshat was also a wonderful person. They lived incredibly beautifully; they were truly admirable. I am struggling deeply with this loss. That’s why my relatives didn’t tell me about it in the evening—I found out from others. I came after taking medication. I couldn’t bear it, she says.

      On that fateful night, everyone who heard about the incident came to the Bikmullins' house. But it was already impossible to enter to save Muslim-aby and Gulshat-apa, and hope for their rescue faded with each passing minute. From the outside, the house does not seem to have suffered too much, but inside, everything had practically turned to coal. It was unbearable to see fellow villagers suffering with severe burns and to realize that you could do nothing to ease their pain.

      — I brought out sheets and blankets to cover the neighbors lying naked on the wet grass. We couldn’t do anything else. Now all hope is only on the doctors. I just hope they survive. May Muslim-aby and Gulshat-apa have a place in paradise, says Guzaliya-apa. Today, everyone is praying for the same. The most tragic thing is that, according to official sources, the cause of the fire is believed to be arson, with the son of the deceased, Ildar, suspected of committing it.
