      Pit bikes have been seized, parents face a fine of 30,000 rubles, and the materials will be sent to the Commission for Juvenile Affairs. During a preventive raid in the village of Novoe Sumarkovo in the Bugulminsky district, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate detained two teenagers who were riding pit bikes on public roads. The offenders turned out to be drivers born in 2010 and 2014. The boys were operating the vehicles without a driver's license. The vehicles have been seized and sent to a specialized parking lot. Protocols have been drawn up against the parents of the underage drivers under part 3 of article 12.7 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation — for transferring control of a vehicle to a person who is knowingly not entitled to do so. The penalty for this article provides for a fine of 30,000 rubles. All collected materials regarding this incident will be sent to the Commission for Juvenile Affairs. The State Traffic Inspectorate urges parents to monitor their children's leisure activities, to prevent them from riding pit bikes on public roads, and to explain to children the deadly dangers of such "fun." Parents are held responsible for violations, and in some cases, they may also face criminal liability for involving children in dangerous activities.
