      Employees undergoing medical check-ups can also receive an additional paid day off. The frequency of this day off depends on age. Employees under 40 years old are entitled to one day off every three years. From the age of 40 until reaching pre-retirement age, they are entitled to one day off per year. Pensioners and pre-retirees can take this day off twice a year. After visiting a medical institution, the employee will need to confirm the completion of the medical check-up with the appropriate certificate.

      Days off for donors

      People who donate blood or its components also receive additional days off. One day off is granted on the day of blood donation, and another for the time of medical examination. Additionally, the employee is entitled to an extra day off, which they can use at another convenient time. According to Article 186 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, all legally provided days are paid at the average earnings rate.

      Additional day off for women in rural areas

      Women working in rural areas are entitled to one additional day off each month. This opportunity is enshrined in Article 263.1 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

      Unlike some other types of additional time off, this day is unpaid — the employer provides it without retaining wages.
