In Kazan, the historical appearance of the house of Nikolai Bauman and Karim Tinchurin will be restored.
In the capital of Tatarstan, a project for the restoration of a federal cultural heritage site located at: 16/5 Musa Jalil Street has been approved. This house is known as the birthplace of revolutionary Nikolai Bauman, and in later years, it was home to the classic of Tatar drama Karim Tinchurin. The building is planned to be restored to its appearance at the end of the 19th century. The project includes the restoration of surviving elements (entrances, porches) and the recreation of lost ones — the courtyard wing and wooden gallery. Specialists will clear the brickwork of later cement layers, eliminate damage, and restore the historical decor. After the work, the architectural monument will not become a museum. Offices will be located inside. To ensure accessibility, a barrier-free environment will be created, and an attic will be arranged in the roof space. The architectural appearance of the building was formed in stages from 1842 thanks to the works of architects Fyodor Petondi, Pyotr Pyatnitsky, and Alexander Bolotov. Currently, the building is in a limited operational state, and emergency measures have already been taken. The examination confirmed the safety of the proposed solutions for the monument's protection. The project has been recommended for approval by the Committee of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites.
