Naberezhnye Chelny continues a large-scale update of the educational infrastructure.

      In Naberezhnye Chelny, a large-scale program is being implemented to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions. With the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, 11 new schools and 20 kindergartens have been built in the city over the past few years, and 107 facilities have undergone major repairs — 59 schools, 39 kindergartens, six resource centers, an additional education institution, and two dormitories. Just this year, four schools, six cafeterias, two kindergartens, and the dormitory of the Polytechnic College have been updated. Today, these are not just buildings, but modern spaces for the education and upbringing of children.

      Over the past five years, 1.7 billion rubles have been invested from the city budget into the development of educational infrastructure, of which over 1.1 billion have been directed towards ensuring the safety of children and about 634 million for current repairs. At the same time, the problem of building wear remains acute: major repairs are expected for another 11 city schools, 57 kindergartens, and two dormitories of secondary vocational institutions, most of which were built in the 1970s and 1980s.

      An independent sector has become a separate direction in the development of the urban educational environment. Today, six private schools are successfully operating in Naberezhnye Chelny — "Gymnasium named after V.V. Davydov," "Vesta," primary school "UM-KA," Orthodox gymnasium of Saint George the Victorious, "Smart Generation," and the school "Dare to Dream!", all fully compliant with modern educational standards and ready to accept 450 students in the new academic year. Private schools have become an integral part of the city's educational system: if in the last academic year 769 children studied there, then in the 2026–2027 academic year their number will exceed 950 students.
