Scientists conducted a study among 1,700 young married couples who are in a crisis period of their relationship (about three years of marriage). It turned out that sports and physical activity play an important role in the strength of the union, but only if the activities are joint.
What the study showed
60% of the surveyed couples engage in sports, but only a third of them do it together. Those who train together have a noticeably higher level of harmony and friendliness—they better understand their partner, learn to work in tandem, and constructively resolve conflicts.
