As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detention of the police officer was the result of the work of the ministry's security service, which established the alleged fact of a corrupt deal and passed the information to the Investigative Committee. It is not specified to whom, according to the security forces, the arrested was supposed to transfer the money. "If the employee's guilt is confirmed, he will be dismissed from the internal affairs bodies on negative grounds and will face punishment in accordance with the law, and his superiors will be held strictly disciplinarily accountable," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan noted.
