In the evening of August 15, the Kazan fire service received a signal about a fire. The message was received at 20:12 on the number 101. The fire engulfed items on the balcony of an apartment located on the second floor of building No. 75.

The area of the fire was five square meters. Rescuers quickly dealt with the flames. Open burning was eliminated by 20:38. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

To reduce the risk of fire in residential premises, it is important to be careful when using household appliances and not to leave them on unattended, especially irons, electric kettles, and heaters. It is necessary to regularly check the condition of the electrical wiring and not to use damaged sockets or extension cords, and to promptly contact qualified specialists if signs of wear are detected. Special attention should be paid to the rules for using gas appliances. At the slightest suspicion of a gas leak, it is necessary to immediately stop the gas supply, ventilate the room, and call the emergency service. Smoking in the apartment should preferably be excluded or always ensure that cigarette butts are completely extinguished. Having a functioning fire extinguisher and a standalone smoke detector in the house can play a crucial role in an emergency situation, allowing for timely detection of a fire and taking action.
