A covered parking lot will be built at the airport's train station square in Kazan.

      As part of the reconstruction of the square in front of the International Airport "Kazan" named after Gabdulla Tukay, a covered ground parking lot for 256 cars will be constructed. The tender for the development of project documentation has been posted on the government procurement website. According to the documentation for the tender, the area of the parking lot with a canopy will be 6,400 square meters. The total area of the site affected by the design will be 38,000 square meters, while the area of the designed hard surfaces will be 33,700 square meters. After reconstruction, the number of parking spaces in front of the airport will reach 918. The maximum contract amount exceeds 10.5 million rubles, with the airport itself being the customer. The acceptance of applications will last until September 11, and the results of the competition should be announced no later than September 18.

      The contractor will be required to develop the documentation within 20 working days from the date of signing the contract. The construction of the facility is expected to be completed by December 30 of the current year, 2026.
