Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov commented on the selection results and plans for the upcoming period. "In 2027, thanks to the federal project 'Professionalitet' of the national project 'Youth and Children,' 95 new clusters will start operating in 42 regions of Russia. This will strengthen the connection between educational organizations and enterprises, enhance the practical orientation of secondary vocational education across 19 industries. It is important that regions see the effect of the project and actively participate in the selections. As President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin emphasizes, 'we rightfully pride ourselves on the history of domestic vocational education.' The creation of new and the successful operation of already established clusters show that this history continues," said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. A total of 389 applications were submitted for the competition across 22 industries. Thanks to the new clusters, an additional 430 colleges and more than 620 employer enterprises will join "Professionalitet." It is expected that by 2030, 100% of colleges and technical schools will be part of the federal project. "The expansion of the 'Professionalitet' cluster network in 2027 represents a real strengthening of the human resources framework in the regions. The project has already proven its effectiveness: it has become a point of attraction for business and a guideline for youth who want to acquire in-demand professions. We see that the system of secondary vocational education is changing – it is becoming more flexible, modern, and closely linked to the real sector of the economy. It is important that new entities are joining the project where such a model did not exist before. This means that young people across the country have more opportunities for self-realization, and employers have access to trained personnel right on the ground. I am confident that each new cluster will contribute to the development of the regional economy and the country as a whole," commented Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov. The largest number of clusters in 2027 will open in Bashkortostan – 8, in Yakutia and Chelyabinsk region – 7 each, in Nizhny Novgorod region – 6, and in Vologda, Novosibirsk, and Smolensk regions, Perm and Khabarovsk territories, as well as in the Republic of Tatarstan – 4 each. For the sixth consecutive time, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions, Perm and Khabarovsk territories, and the republics of Bashkortostan, Buryatia, and Tatarstan have made it to the winners of the competition. The Republic of Kalmykia will join the federal project "Professionalitet" for the first time in 2027. The first educational cluster in the field of "Construction Industry" will be established based on the Elistinsky Polytechnic College named after Elvartynov I.N. The regional project team presented a roadmap for the launch at the kickoff meeting with representatives of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.

      The main task of the meeting was to prepare regional teams for the launch of the clusters. Participants discussed the creation of modern workshops, the implementation of practice-oriented programs, the protection of the cluster's work strategy until 2029, as well as holding a Unified Open Doors Day to attract applicants. Before the clusters open, regional teams will need to go through the entire preparation cycle so that by the start of the admission campaign in 2027, the cluster is ready for operation – from infrastructure to updated educational programs based on the requests of partner employers.
