      A student of the wrestling school of Naberezhnye Chelny, honored master of sports of Russia Ranis Gilyazetdinov became the winner of the VI World Nomad Games. He won gold in the absolute weight category of "Alysh" wrestling as part of the Russian national team. The path to the championship title was confident for the Chelny wrestler. In the first round, Gilyazetdinov defeated an athlete from China with a score of 6:0. He then faced a representative from Iran weighing 160 kg and achieved another victory. In the semifinals, his opponent was a heavyweight from Bulgaria weighing 190 kg. Gilyazetdinov also handled him, after which he advanced to the decisive match. In the final, the Chelny athlete proved stronger than the wrestler from Moldova and climbed to the highest step of the podium. For Gilyazetdinov, this is not his first success at the Nomad Games. At the previous tournament held in 2024 in Astana, he also won a gold medal. The athlete is a six-time world champion. Ranis Gilyazetdinov is trained by honored coach of Russia Ilnur Khaibullin, the mentor of the national team in "Alysh" wrestling and a native of Naberezhnye Chelny. The VI World Nomad Games are taking place in Bishkek from September 1 to 6. Athletes from more than 100 countries are participating in the competitions. Tatarstan is represented by eight athletes in five disciplines.
