      According to Rosstat, the average cost of taxi rides in the Republic of Tatarstan reached a record level in July, amounting to 42.7 rubles per kilometer. As reported by RBC, citing Rosstat data, the monthly figure increased by 4 rubles, or 10%, while in June the average price per kilometer was 38.7 rubles. Year-on-year, taxi rides in the republic have become more expensive by 8.5 rubles, which corresponds to a 25% increase compared to July 2025, when a kilometer cost about 34.2 rubles. At the same time, the average cost of travel in Tatarstan remains below the national level, which is about 51 rubles per kilometer, and also lags behind the average figure for the Volga Federal District, where the price is fixed at 43.4 rubles. However, the price increase dynamics in the republic turned out to be more rapid than the national average and in the district: while in Tatarstan the cost increased by a quarter, the overall increase in Russia was 6.7%, and in the Volga Federal District – 16.7%. In the capital of the republic, the average cost per kilometer was lower than the regional figure and reached 35.9 rubles in July, which also became a record maximum for the city. Over the month, taxi services in Kazan became more expensive by 3 rubles, or 9%, while in June the price was 32.9 rubles. A completely different picture is observed in Naberezhnye Chelny, where the average cost of travel significantly exceeds the average republican level and reached a record 57 rubles per kilometer in July. Over the month, taxi services in the automotive city became more expensive by more than 7 rubles, or 15%, while in June the price was 49.7 rubles. In Zelenodolsk, on the contrary, the average cost was below the average republican value and amounted to 36.3 rubles per kilometer in July of this year, which, however, is higher than the Kazan figure but lower than in Naberezhnye Chelny. It was previously reported that nearly 16,000 first-graders will go to schools in Kazan in the new academic year.
