On the evening of August 27, emergency services received information about a fire in a private house in the village of Bilyarsk, Alekseevsky District, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tatarstan reports.
"Arriving firefighters, while extinguishing the fire inside the house, found the body of the 65-year-old homeowner," the agency said.
As the deceased woman's husband later said, that evening he had gone out of the house to feed the animals in the barn. At that moment his wife was placing a moonshine still on the gas stove; she wanted to make alcohol. When the man returned to the house and opened the door, thick smoke poured out, and he was unable to save his wife.
