Environmentalists uncovered more than a hundred violations in Naberezhnye Chelny.

      Ecology inspectors have identified 103 violations of environmental protection legislation since the beginning of this year. The overwhelming majority (81.5%) are related to the appearance of unauthorized landfills. Chelny-biz.ru was told this by the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan. Among them are also violations in the field of atmospheric air protection (8.7%), in the area of protection of water bodies (5.8%) and in the field of subsoil protection (3.8%).

      According to the agency, a total of 626 enterprises are registered in the territory of Naberezhnye Chelny, of which 553 facilities belong to the third category, 73 to the second. Two automatic air monitoring stations operate to monitor the environmental situation, having performed more than 152 thousand measurements. Exceedances of norms were recorded in 16 cases (0.01%).

      The ministry's specialists also carried out work analyzing the state of the environment: they examined 14 samples of natural surface water, performed five analyses of wastewater, studied 11 soil samples, and conducted 28 measurements of atmospheric air quality. Twenty-six warnings were issued to the violators.
