In the Republic of Tatarstan, a local resident is accused of unlawfully detaining a minor and causing grievous bodily harm.

      The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan have completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 58-year-old local resident, accused of committing offenses under subparagraph “b” of part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm), subparagraphs “g” and “d” of part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code (illegal deprivation of liberty), and part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code (threat of murder).

      According to the investigation, on February 5, 2025, in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny several teenagers entered the premises of an abandoned boiler house owned by the accused. Noticing them, the man pushed a 13-year-old boy off the wardrobe on which he was sitting, as a result of which the boy sustained a fracture of the femur. In addition, the accused beat a 14-year-old boy and, threatening to kill him, unlawfully detained him in the premises for more than two hours.

      The investigation has collected a sufficient evidentiary base, and the criminal case with an approved indictment has been forwarded to the court for substantive consideration.
