The court suspended the operation of a café in Kazan after patrons were poisoned.
By court decision, the activities of one of the cafes in central Kazan have been suspended after cases of mass poisoning of patrons. The basis for the measures was an appeal from the Rospotrebnadzor Office for the Republic of Tatarstan. During an unscheduled inspection, numerous violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements were found. Specialists identified the absence of necessary conditions for food preparation, insufficient technological equipment and violations in the organization of production processes. Laboratory tests confirmed the presence of coliform bacteria in samples of finished products and in swabs taken from the hands of kitchen staff. The affected patrons exhibited symptoms of an acute intestinal infection. The court decided to temporarily ban the establishment’s activities for 14 days. Administrative protocols have been drawn up against the owner of the enterprise. The cafe premises have been sealed until all identified violations are remedied.
