A new case against the former head of A Just Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, Bilgildeeva, has been sent to court.

      The Soviet District Prosecutor’s Office of Kazan approved the indictment against the former head of the Fair Russia party in Tatarstan, Rushaniya Bilgildeyeva. The case has been sent to court, the press service of the RT prosecutor’s office reports.

      A new case against Bilgildeyeva was opened in August. She is accused of large-scale fraud (Part 4, Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, from November 2023 to September 2024 a Kazan resident turned to Bilgildeyeva asking for assistance in obtaining permission to sell an apartment containing shares owned by minor children. In addition, there were no legal grounds for initiating a criminal case against the victim’s ex-husband and for depriving him of parental rights. The investigation believes that the victim’s acquaintance agreed and turned to Bilgildeyeva for help, and through intermediaries 3.9 million rubles were handed over to her. The money did not reach the supposed “competent” officials but remained with Bilgildeyeva.

      “She pleads not guilty; she says she did not receive such money,” Bilgildeyeva’s lawyer Valery Kuzmin told a Business Online correspondent. The defendant is currently in a pretrial detention center; the case will be heard by the Soviet District Court of Kazan.

      Recall that this is the second case against the former head of Fair Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. The first, dating from 2021, is being considered in the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan. Bilgildeyeva is being tried for fraud related to cottage settlements with total damages of 38.3 million rubles. Six land buyers who never received their parcels were included in separate episodes. Another victim is the director of Naberezhnye Chelny management company “Yashlek.” According to the prosecution, Bilgildeyeva promised, for 500,000 rubles, to transfer a number of Kazan residential buildings under the company’s management.
