Specialist of the Elabuga territorial office of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Republic of Tatarstan I.A. Vakhonina gave a lecture to employees of JSC "Ammoniy" in Mendeleevsk on the topic of influenza vaccination and compliance with ARVI prevention measures.
Eighty-nine people attended the lecture, including heads of structural divisions.
The lecturer reminded attendees of the main documents regulating immunoprophylaxis in the Russian Federation and of mandatory vaccinations for citizens.
Irina Alekseevna provided a detailed account of the primary means of protection against influenza — vaccination — as well as nonspecific measures for the prevention of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and the need to observe them.
Irina Vakhonina noted that employee vaccination is already being carried out at the enterprise, but coverage has not yet reached the regulatory target.
"To achieve herd immunity it is necessary to vaccinate at least 75% of the workforce, which will contribute to the uninterrupted and economically stable operation of such an important enterprise as JSC 'Ammoniy'," she emphasized.
The lecturer also reminded attendees of the need to conduct screenings before the start of shifts.
"Temperature checks and screenings are necessary for the timely isolation of a sick person from the organized workforce, and therefore they must be conducted systematically and not as a mere formality," she addressed the heads of the company’s structural units.
Listeners supported the lecturer on the importance of using antiseptics both at workplaces and in common areas, as well as maintaining an optimal temperature regime at the enterprise.
