An exhibition of folk crafts will open at the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan on October 10.

      The exhibition “Crafts and Meanings” from the ROSIZO Center will open at the National Museum of Tatarstan on October 10. The center will present decorative and applied arts of the peoples of Russia: from the well-known Gzhel and Khokhloma to rare, exotic crafts from various regions. The Veliky Ustyug Cultural and Recreational Center will show openwork Shemogod birch‑bark carving, artist Olga Andreeva from Tula — traditional urban toys, Ossetian master Azamat Ktsoev — original chased metalwork. Tatarstan will present its famous crafts: patterned leather, goldwork and tambour embroidery. Only in Kazan will the exhibition be supplemented by jewelry art. In total the Kazan public will be able to see 530 exhibits. Kazan is the final city on the exhibition tour. Before this the project visited Orenburg, Samara, Tula, Tver and Moscow.

      The exhibition will run until December 14, 2025.
