Revival of the spring: the renovated "Makarov" spring gushed forth in the village of Alkino.

      Yesterday, October 2, the long-awaited and joyful event took place in the village of Alkino — the ceremonial opening of the Makarov spring after reconstruction.

      This day became a true celebration for all residents, proving that strength lies in unity and a shared commitment to good.

      Until recently this spring, loved and frequently visited by the people of Alkino, needed renovation. But thanks to the initiative and incredible hard work of two enthusiasts and natives of the village — Vladimir Antonovich Makarov and Vladimir Pavlovich Zinkin — it has been transformed beyond recognition. These craftsmen carried out all the complex work themselves — from design to implementation — putting a piece of their soul into every stone and every detail.

      “We could not stand aside. The spring is not just water, it is our history, our memory. It was impossible to watch it fall into decay. So Vladimir Pavlovich and I picked up shovels,” shared Vladimir Antonovich.

      However, such an undertaking cannot be accomplished by hands alone, however skilled they may be. The entire village played a crucial role in the spring’s revival. Almost every resident of Alkino contributed what they could, helping with money. This community fundraising became a vivid example of true rural solidarity.

      “This is our shared celebration!” say the locals. “We all helped as much as we could. Now we again have a beautiful, well-maintained place where you can come for the purest water, rest, and simply socialize.”

      At the ceremonial opening there was a truly warm, family atmosphere. Residents and guests of the celebration thanked Vladimir Makarov and Vladimir Zinkin for their selfless work, and they, in turn, thanked all their fellow villagers for the support provided. Local poets’ songs and poems about the native village were performed. A table with delicious treats and pies stood ready. Everyone who wished could sample the most delicious water from the renovated spring.

      Now the Makarov spring in the village of Alkino is not just a source of drinking water, but a symbol of popular unity, respect for the homeland, and the great power of ordinary human hands. Its revival has shown that when a village unites, any task is within its reach.
