      The IV International Legal Forum opened in Kazan, bringing together a record 1,500 participants from 28 countries. As the city's mayor, Ilsur Metshin, noted, the event's geographic reach has expanded significantly — in 2022 it included representatives from only six countries.

      The forum opened with the participation of key federal experts: Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation, and Pavel Krasheninnikov, head of the State Duma Committee on State Building. Speakers emphasized the importance of the Kazan law school and the activity of Tatarstan experts at the federal level.

      Krasheninnikov noted the practical orientation of the Kazan forum's discussions. Particular attention was paid to Tatarstan's role in the development of Russian legislation, in particular in updating the law on local self-government.
