The minimum old-age pension in Russia in 2026 will be 14,287 rubles. This estimate, based on a 7.6% indexation, was presented by Professor Yulia Finogenova of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (REU). This means that from January 1, 2026, the minimum insurance old-age pension will increase by more than 1,000 rubles compared to the 2025 level, which was 13,278.4 rubles.
Recall that to receive an insurance pension one must have at least 30 pension points (IPC). Its amount consists of a fixed payment and the value of accumulated points. In 2026 the increase will be one-time and implemented early — from January 1, combining two indexations into one. The stated indexation percentage takes forecasted inflation into account. If actual inflation exceeds the forecast, the authorities reserve the right to carry out an additional indexation.
