      Fazleeva noted that preparing for any events requires time and effort. The New Year is a time for meetings with family and neighbors, for kind and positive emotions.

      Traditions and innovations

      The winter festival continues the successful tradition of the summer "Kurshe", which became popular. 585 applications were submitted for the first festival, and 291 events were implemented.

      This year the emphasis is on public spaces, with an obligatory holding of an event on at least one courtyard territory.

      Prize fund and participation conditions

      To encourage active participants, a prize fund of 40 million rubles has been created. Municipal institutions will receive grants of up to 1 million rubles, legal entities and NGOs — up to 900 thousand, the self-employed — up to 500 thousand.

      A mandatory condition is co-financing and attracting partners (a minimum of 20% of the amount). Up to 20% of the grant may be spent on winter decor. Light installations must be durable.

      Stages of the contest

      The application campaign begins on October 20 and will end on November 28. From December 1 to 8 there will be a public vote for the best projects. The first winners will be announced after the results are summed up.
