      A serious road accident occurred at night on October 22 at about 00:53 on the Gorky Highway in Kazan. Two cars collided — a Lada Priora and a Toyota Camry.

      According to preliminary data, the driver of the Lada Priora (a resident of the Kirovsky District with five years' driving experience) violated traffic rules (paragraphs 9.10 and 10.1 of the Russian traffic regulations) and collided with the Toyota Camry, which was traveling in the same direction. The foreign-made car was driven by a resident of Leninogorsk with 12 years' driving experience.

      As a result of the accident, six people were injured: in the Toyota Camry the driver and a passenger were injured; in the Lada Priora the driver and three passengers were injured. All participants in the accident were taken to medical facilities by ambulances, conscious.

      Traffic police officers and municipal services worked at the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
