The zonal stage of the festival "Our Time — Bezneñ Zaman" has started in Almetyevsk.
The zonal stage of the annual open republican television festival of creativity for working youth “Our Time — Beznen Zaman” has been launched in Almetyevsk. This year the festival is being held for the 13th time.
Over two competition days — October 24 and 25 — the jury members will have to evaluate 70 creative acts in the nominations “Choreography,” “Music” and “Minute of Fame.” Forty-five enterprises and organizations from 12 districts and cities of Tatarstan are taking part in the festival: Zainsk, Chistopol, Cheremshan, Alekseevsk, Nurlat, Aktanysh, Novosheshminsk, Leninogorsk, Aksubaevo, Sarman, Bavly and Almetyevsk. The winners of the zonal stage will receive a ticket to the festival final, which will traditionally bring together the best representatives of working youth of Tatarstan. On behalf of the city leadership, the participants were welcomed by the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk District for Social Work, Fanis Murtazin:
“The festival traditionally serves as a platform to showcase the talents of the republic’s young workers, strengthen intersectoral ties and popularize professions among the youth of Tatarstan. We are convinced that your creative potential will make an important contribution to the development of the region’s cultural and creative environment and will open new horizons for self-realization.”
This year’s festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. At the start of the opening ceremony, the participants honored the memory of the heroes with a minute of silence.
A welcome address was delivered by Dmitry Tumanov, laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation Prize in the field of culture, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Crimea, Honored Mentor of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, general producer of the festival and chairman of the jury:
“Autumn is a time of change in nature, but not in our hearts. We are still filled with a sense of unity, beauty and pride for our Republic of Tatarstan. Let us honor the memory of our warriors, our grandfathers and great‑grandfathers who gave us the Great Victory. We will be worthy of the memory of the heroes!”
The festival “Our Time — Beznen Zaman,” established by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and other ministries and agencies in 2013, is held under the aegis of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. The project author is the regional youth public organization of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sozvezdie — Yoldyzlyk.” The project’s goal is to create opportunities for young people’s self-realization; the project is in line with the objectives of the national project “Youth and Children.”
