Vacancy to fill a full‑time (1.0 FTE) research fellow position at the Center for Regional Studies and Sociocultural Research of the Branch "M.Kh. Khasanov Institute of Tatar Encyclopedia and Regional Studies" of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      1. Place and date of the competition. The competition will be held on December 2, 2025 at: Kazan, Baumana St., 20, office 119.

      2. Start and end dates for receipt of applications to participate in the competition:

      3. THE COMPETITION IS ANNOUNCED FOR THE POSITION OF RESEARCH FELLOW OF THE CENTER FOR REGIONAL STUDIES AND SOCIOCULTURAL RESEARCH OF THE INSTITUTE OF TATAR ENCYCLOPEDIA AND REGIONAL STUDIES OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN (AS RT) FOR 1.0 FTE

      Qualification requirements:

      Research fellow: Candidate of Sciences degree; in exceptional cases — higher professional education with at least 10 years of scientific and editorial experience.

      During the last 5 years:

      - one published scientific reference work (including a manuscript prepared for publication) or a textbook prepared for publication, a teaching aid, a textological collection, a source edition, a compiled dictionary, a catalog, etc.;

      - 10 articles published in journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, or published in journals indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI);

      - participation as an author in scientific conferences, in competitions for scientific projects, as an executor of works under republican programs and projects, scientific contracts (agreements);

      - experience in writing and editing scientific reference publications;

      - no disciplinary remarks from the institute’s management in the last 5 years.

      Professional field: regional and national encyclopedistics, geography of Tatarstan, writing scientific and encyclopedic articles.

      4. Tasks and evaluation criteria:

      Tasks:

      - conducting independent scientific research as a performer, including the development of plans and methodological programs for conducting research;

      - writing and publishing articles on the topics of independent research in journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, or in journals indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index;

      - writing and editing scientific reference publications in Russian and Tatar;

      - participating in the development and organization of scientific and scientific-practical events within the activities of the Institute.

      Evaluation criteria: at least 10 years of scientific work experience. Experience in writing and editing scientific reference publications in Russian and Tatar. Publications in journals indexed in the HAC (Higher Attestation Commission) and RSCI databases. Computer skills: confident user of office software. Good academic Russian, written and spoken.

      5. Terms of the employment contract.

      A fixed-term employment contract will be concluded with the winner of the competition. Salary for a full-time position (1.0 FTE): 27,800 RUB/month.

      Provision of official housing, compensation for rental housing expenses, or travel are not provided.

      6. To participate in the competition the applicant must submit:

       a) the applicant’s surname, given name and patronymic;

       b) the applicant’s date of birth;

       c) information on higher education and qualifications, academic degree (if any) and academic title (if any);

       d) information on length of service and work experience;

       f) lists of previously obtained scientific results.
