      In Kazan, the cultural heritage site "Depot 1, Petrushkin Siding," built in 1875, will be restored. As reported by the press service of the Tatarstan Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, after the works a café may appear in the building of the former horse-railway station. "After large-scale repair and restoration works they plan to open a café here," the committee's press service said. The sketches show an electric pickup, the Tesla Cybertruck.

      The horse-railway station building was built by a partnership organized by Lieutenant Captain Alexander Etolin and merchant Gustav Talkvist. It housed the base for horse-drawn trams that connected the Admiralteyskaya Sloboda quays with the first part of the city. Initially the "konka," as it was popularly called, was used only by wealthy townspeople due to the high fare, but at the insistence of the zemstvos the price was reduced, and peasants, loaders and artisans began to ride it. At the time of opening 12 double-decker cars with a capacity of up to 40 people were in operation.

      On December 13, 1900 the "konka" ceased to exist, forming the basis for the electric tram that opened in 1899. The transition to the new mode of transport happened gradually and therefore sometimes cars were combined on one line — old double-decker cars were attached to motor trams. Thus Kazan became the only city in the Russian Empire with a double-decker electric tram.

      As for the name of the siding, according to open sources, in the Admiralteyskaya Sloboda, at the turning ring, there were horses that replaced a pair arriving from the city center. The horse that turned the car was nicknamed Petrushka. The siding itself was named in her honor.
