Veterans of Zainsk journalism met among colleagues in honor of a double anniversary
A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the district newspapers and the International Day of Older Persons brought together several generations of staff from district newspaper editorial offices.
The cozy hall of the Central Library named after Subbukh Rafikov felt especially warm. The reason was an atmosphere of sincere cordiality that gathered those whose fates are forever intertwined with the history of Zainsk. Here the veterans of the district press were honored. It was a true reunion of old friends and colleagues whose hearts have forever remained faithful to the great calling of journalism.
The celebration began with a journey into the world of beauty. Library employee Svetlana Trifonova conducted a tour of an exhibition of paintings by Zainsk artist Venera Sakhabutdinova for the guests. Svetlana then spoke about the rich life of the library — about creative evenings, bright celebrations and unforgettable meetings with writers, poets and artists who give Zainsk residents the joy of communicating with art.
The ceremonial part was opened by Gulnara Feofanova, head of the Zainsk branch of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan. She read warm congratulatory words on behalf of the chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilshat Aminov, and presented the honorees with food packages as a sign of respect and care.
Sincere wishes and words of deep gratitude for many years of devoted work were conveyed to the veterans by the chief editors of modern Zainsk newspapers — Roza Ilaltdinova and Endzhe Aglyamova. They served as a living bridge between generations, telling what modern journalists live by today, how the profession is changing, while its essence remains the same — to serve the truth and be the voice of one’s people.
Present were employees of the newspaper Novy Zay, Tamara Tikhonova and Rushania Mubarakzyanova, and representatives of the newspaper Zey Ofyklary, Aleksandra Gaffanova, Anuza Karamova and Razima Kashapova.
Tamara Tikhonova, who worked as the chief accountant in the Novy Zay editorial office until her retirement, gave the guests special emotions. Despite her advanced age — 82 — she is full of energy, remains a devoted reader of the district newspaper and is an active member of the healthy lifestyle club “Pulse.”
“I was very glad to meet with colleagues. Thank you for organizing this heartfelt meeting and for not forgetting us. We wish the newspapers prosperity!” Tamara Tikhonova shared, and in her words one could hear the full range of emotions — from gentle sadness to sincere gratitude.
But the most touching moments were, of course, the veterans’ own stories. They shared what their lives are like today, speaking with pride and light in their eyes about their children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. These simple, everyday stories were filled with such warmth that it became clear: it was for these simple human joys, for the future of their loved ones, that they once worked, checking every line in the newspaper column.
Happy anniversary, dear district press! Health and many years to our beloved veterans!
