      According to the investigation, the teenagers, acting at the behest of foreign intelligence services, set fire to the electrical turnout control box on the railway tracks.

      A criminal case on a terrorist act has been opened in Tatarstan, with three minors named as suspects. According to the investigation, the teenagers committed the crime after being influenced by foreign intelligence services. This was reported by representatives of the Central Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia. The incident occurred in August on a railway section near Bugulma. According to law enforcement, two 16-year-old students of Leninogorsk colleges and a 15-year-old schoolboy set fire to critical equipment using flammable mixtures. They were detained immediately after the incident by police and FSB officers.

      "Investigators of the Central MSUT of the Investigative Committee of Russia have charged three underage residents of the region under point 'a' of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (committing a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior agreement)," the transport investigative directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia said.

      The suspects confessed to the arson they committed, but none of them received the promised 24,000 rubles. According to local media, all three are registered with the police and within school institutions. The court ordered their detention. The criminal case against other possible participants has been separated into a separate proceeding.

      Earlier it was reported that the alleged perpetrator of the attack — the one who stabbed 34-year-old Irina Shevyryova in Kazan on October 14 — was detained in Tajikistan and has already been brought to the Russian Federation.
