According to Errol Musk, Elon Musk’s father, he liked the capital of Tatarstan so much that he will definitely recommend that his sons visit it in the future.
The father of Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, Errol Musk, highly praised the capital of Tatarstan during his visit to Russia. At a meeting with the republic’s IT community he admitted that Kazan was a pleasant discovery for him and that he would certainly recommend it to his sons. The South African entrepreneur was struck by the combination of ancient history and the city’s modern appearance. “Kazan pleasantly surprised me. A beautiful place. A wonderful, fantastic city. I would never have thought it was a thousand years old. It’s so beautiful, as if it were built yesterday,” Musk Sr. shared. He said the quality of the city’s urban planning deserves special praise.
According to media reports, the main purpose of Errol Musk’s visit was the IT city Innopolis, located near Kazan. His introduction to the tech hub began with an immersion in local traditions: upon arrival the guest was greeted by girls in national costumes and offered the traditional Tatar chak-chak. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the press secretary to the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Liliya Galimova.
The South African entrepreneur’s program also included a meeting with students, at which he spoke about his impressions and answered questions from those present.
It should be recalled that this is not the entrepreneur’s first gastronomic experience in Russia. Earlier, at the “Future 2050 Forum” in Moscow he sampled Russian cuisine, choosing borscht and cutlets with mashed potatoes. He then noted that he “almost fell off his chair” at the sight of the dishes served, impressed by the beauty of their presentation.
