From November 18 to December 15, schoolchildren in grades 8–11 and students in the 1st–2nd years of vocational educational institutions and universities can take part in the first stage of the All‑Russian annual contest to assess the level of environmental literacy “Green Zachet” in support of the national project “Environmental Well‑Being.” The key goals of the project are to popularize ecology topics and foster a sustained interest in the environment among schoolchildren and students, as well as to assist schoolchildren with career guidance.
“Green Zachet” is held in two stages. In the first stage, which will run from November 18 to December 15, participants will remotely answer 25 test questions (1 hour). Contestants who score the highest points will advance to the second (in‑person) stage, which will take place in February 2026, where they will have to solve olympiad‑style tasks. The results of the competition will be announced in March.
Information about the winners and prize‑winners is sent to the state information resource on persons who have shown outstanding abilities; schoolchildren receive additional points when applying to environmental specialties at universities.

The organizers of the All‑Russian ecological testing “Green Zachet” are the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, ANO “Dialogue” and the Compass Foundation for Support and Development of Environmental Initiatives. The event is implemented with the support of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection and the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Science and Higher Education.
