      On the eve of World Diabetes Day (November 14), an important event took place at the Bavly Central District Hospital — a session of the "Diabetes School." The guest of the event was Kazan endocrinologist Konstantin Troitsky.

      The specialist, together with the attendees, discussed key issues concerning diagnosis and treatment of the disease, daily self-monitoring, prevention of possible complications, specifics of nutrition and physical activity, and also gave recommendations on weight loss and choosing safe sugar substitutes. Particular attention was paid to the personal questions of the Bavly residents in attendance. Each participant received a detailed consultation from the doctor, an individual case review and help in debunking common myths about diabetes. Konstantin Leonidovich emphasized the importance of providing practical tools that allow patients to effectively manage their condition on a daily basis.
