The 7th Volga Federal District Cup in ice hockey among student amateur teams concluded in Kazan.
On November 21, the final of the VII Cup of the Volga Federal District (PFO) in hockey among student amateur teams was held at the Zilant Ice Palace. Fourteen teams from various regions of the district participated in the tournament.
The tournament winner was a team from the Chuvash Republic, which defeated the Orenburg Region team 2-1 in the final. Third place went to the team from the Republic of Tatarstan, and fourth to the team from the Samara Region.
Best players of the tournament:
• Best goalkeeper: Vladislav Sirotov (Orenburg Region)
• Best defenseman: Artur Garifullin (Republic of Tatarstan)
• Best forward: Vladislav Kaminsky (Orenburg Region)
• Most valuable player: Alexander Mitrofanov (Chuvash Republic)
The awards ceremony was attended by Vladimir Kolchin, assistant to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, who congratulated the participants and thanked them for an entertaining game. Awards to the winners and prize-winners were presented on behalf of the Plenipotentiary Representative Igor Komarov.
The competition is held under the patronage of Igor Komarov with the support of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Hockey Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
